This welcoming local is less than a minute from the Grand Union canal and is a favourite with canalside walkers, cyclists, and bargees. Originally a Royal Brewery house. The pub was saved from the developers in 2001 and has won the branch Pub of the Year award on many occasions. Known for its home cooked food, well kept ales, a well attended weekly quiz on Thursdays. Well maintained beer garden, with children's slide and wendy house. Beer festivals are held at Easter and in October. Food is served lunchtime from noon until 3pm, including Sunday roasts. Evening meals are from 6pm serving traditional English food until 9pm). Winner of the 2016 West Middlesex Pub of the Year.
