Welcome to the West Middlesex branch of CAMRA, the Campaign for Real Ale
which was formed on the 18 September 1974 and covers the London boroughs of Ealing, Harrow, Hillingdon and the parts of Brent with HA postcodes. CAMRA itself was founded in 1971 as the voice of the beer-drinking consumer, at a time when real ale was rapidly disappearing from our pubs, and now has over 190,000 members.
The Ealing Beer Festival is organised by the Branch and takes place every July in Walpole Park as part of the Ealing Summer Festivals and is the best way to find a great range of real ales, ciders, perries and foreign beer in one marquee!
The Branch organises a wide variety of social events, e.g. pub crawls, brewery visits, presentations to our borough pubs of the year, etc. We also hold monthly branch meeting. We discuss anything & everything to do with beer & pubs. And, of course, beer festivals. Come along & swap pub and brewery news, find out about our plans for social events. Newcomers are always welcome and you don't need to be a member of the branch or CAMRA. The Branch Diary. is updated regularly.
