See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.

Former Berni Inn acquired by Allied and reopened as a non-brewing Firkin pub in February 1997. Beers brewed at Flag & Firkin, Watford. Normal Firkin décor including intrusive video games and stage for live music. Walls adorned with breweriana and "academic" paraphernalia. "Philomath" is a lover of learning - a reference to the nearby Harrow public school. Large outdoor terrace and limited car parking. Renamed the Junction in 2003, real ale was discontinued only to reappear a decade later for intermittent periods. Handpumps now removed and clientele is mostly students from the nearby University of Westminster campus. Various refurbishments removed any character the pub once had.
